Butch graduated from UofA at Little Rock with a BA degree in Criminal Justice, and he is a graduate of the 133rd Session of the FBI National Police Academy. He has been a Police Officer with the North Little Rock Police in most capacities for 21 years - retired in 1993 and the Manager of Security for Baptist Health 1993 till retirement in 2003. He is a Certified Law Enforcement Trainer and Security Trainer. He currently is CEO of BSwain & Associates, a internet marketing Company, and a Tax Professional. He is a Lay Speaker and co-head usher at Levy UMC. He says that "I have strived to always fall forward in life failure moments and move ahead to accomplish my goals."
