All youth, grades 7-12, are encouraged to participate in our YCIC program. We meet each Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. under a cooperative program between Levy and Amboy United Methodist churches called Youth Connected In Christ (YCIC). The youth meet every 1st and 3rd Sunday at Amboy church and on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at Levy. This is a time for youth fellowship, snack supper, games and various activities, all the while enriching their spiritual life through study and programs of interest. Our youth are heavily involved in district events which offer an excellent opportunity for them to get to know youth from around the state and build relationships. It is not all fun and games in the youth group. We have a monthly mission project that helps out the surrounding community as well as fundraiser events to assist us in financing our yearly activities. Wednesday evenings at Levy United Methodist Church we offer a bible study program. This program is led by our youth director, Richard Wilson. Though not a YCIC sponsored evening, youth from both the YCIC churches are invited. Wednesday night is a time of deep bible study and understanding their Christian walk. Both of these evenings are geared toward our mission of ministering to our youth at whatever stage of spiritual development they are in. Along with these activities, youth have the opportunity to participate in a youth praise band as well as a newly revamped drama ministry. Our youth director and YCIC leaders' work together planning & participating in all youth events and programs. This group approach to youth ministry has created a unique and open opportunity for youth to have several adults they can look to for guidance and fellowship within the church.
